Here at Multiyork we have been championing traditional craftsmanship for nearly Four decades, nurturing a highly skilled team to create sofas and chairs that are made to order and to last.
This month we have extended the celebration of creativity by supporting local talent through the launch of an exciting new initiative: THE NORFOLK COLLECTIVE.
The Norfolk Collective will be a series of brand collaborations with Norfolk based artists, providing them with a unique opportunity to draw on our expertise to create inspiring collections of furniture and accessories sold through our website and portfolio of over 50 local stores.
To launch the project, we have teamed up with Norfolk based artist and pattern designer, Amelia Bowman.
Here at Multiyork we have spent the last few months working with Amelia to translate her stunning prints and graphical interpretations of famous Norfolk landscapes into a range of digitally printed fabrics. This June, the fabrics are being showcased on an exclusive collection of scatter cushions.
Each scatter cushion boasts an iconic coastline or countryside scene to the front paired with a complementary print to the back and contrast piping.

Amelia Bowman commented, “Multiyork’s Norfolk Collective is a fantastic initiative and something I’m honoured to be part of. It’s the first time my prints have been used on upholstery fabric, and to see the designs develop from simple sketches to beautifully finished scatter cushions has been incredibly educational and exciting”.
Kate Tansley, Creative Director at Multiyork comments, “Norfolk is brimming with creative people and it is important to the team here at Multiyork that we don’t overlook talent that can be found right on our doorstep. The Norfolk Collective has been put together to support and encourage local artists, providing them with the opportunity to display their work through our shop window.
We fell in love with Amelia’s bright and bold designs and knew instantly how well they would work on fabrics.
When creating the cushion collection, it was important to both of us and Amelia to keep the integrity of her work and present each land and seascape image in its entirety. The result is a range of beautiful cushions that will brighten any room”.
