Monochrome is one look that has been around for a long time – it has the potential to be both minimalistic and calming yet playful at the same time.
While the basis for this look is to oppose white and black, splashes of colour can really bring the whole look together. And the beauty of Monochrome is that any accent colour will work. Think about using accessories in your chosen accent colour and dot these around the room – (think scatter cushions, vases, candles and ornaments) The best part about this is you can easily change these accessories if you get bored of hot pink, or whatever your chosen colour may have been.
You will not be using many colours; therefore, instead you’ll want to concentrate on textures. Think about using glass, chrome, velvet and leather – these all work really well with the Monochrome Look.
A few of our favourite pieces for creating the Monochrome Look include our chrome Alnwick Side and Coffee Tables, an Alpine Chair covered in a warm grey wool and the magnificent York Sofa adorned with scatter back cushions in various luxurious textured velvets (all seen below).
